In games what has a higher impact to performance the higher the AA or the AF?

Is it AA that sorts out the jagged edges?

If so to above question what does AF do?

Sorry for the nooby questions but ive never looked into it and only just wondered :)

Yes AA sorts out the Jagged edges, and has the greater hit.

AF is Anisotropic Filtering, it makes things less blury that are in the distance or something along those lines, or it makes things in the distance look more detailed. :)
