Creative MegaWorks 250D - Keep Sub, but use own speakers?

I have the above speakers, but whilst they're nice and loud/powerful - I find the treble quite lacking due to their lack of independant tweeter. Now, I was thinking... I have some spare speakers from my old Sony RX99 Hifi, would it work if I plugged these in instead of the normal satellites? The speakers have a handling capability of 100watt RMS each, and given the satellites had a claimed 75watt RMS the power thing shouldn't be an issue?

Ideas? Worky or no worky?

The power output will not be an issue. The connection of the other speakers will be. Do the megaworks use bare wire connectors or little jack plugs?

All sorted, I'm now treble-fied! It uses the same connectors.
