I've seen a lot of TV's claiming to have the following:

"have a 1366 x 768 resolution, and can display HD images at up to 1080i with PAL and NTSC support. "

1080i is 1920x1080
720p is 1280x720

How can TV manufacturers claim to be HD Ready and the like when their TV's don't output the proper resolution? Or am I just missing something?

Are there any true 1920x1080 LCD TV's?

Because they can display HD images, they just can't do it at the native res for the data, they are forced to do it at the native res of the panel by down-scaling. Yes there are 1080 panels out there but they cost more.
