hi guys currently running a very old pc 4 years old ----

specs are penty 4 2.53
ati 9800 non pro
1 gig of 233 ram 2x512
80 gig hd

anyway its getting very long in the tooth!

looking to upgrade to something decent been reading this forum,
and have decided to go AMD as i'm mainly a gamer.

800 pounds to spend this is for everything

tft- speakers-keyboard-OS

Explicit your specification looks good but doesn't appear to include a copy of Windows XP so I'd have to go with BigDom's specification. I might not get the Saitek keyboard though as a more basic one would drop the cost to ~£800. :)

Only a 6600GT Graphics though Monster, pretty low level graphics.

The Saitek is VERY basic :) - just backlit. I like it for that reason, it's basic and solid :).

Undoubtedly a great specification but you are missing an OS and a monitor which you aren't going to get for £50 or at least it won't be XP and a tft :)

buy the OS second hand for not that much, the tft would come to a bit more but that base system will be excellent
