Parition External HDD

U just go into control panel> administrative tools> computer management > disk management.

With that though ** going to destroy any data i would think cos u'll have to delete the partition u have and then create how ever many u want. Ie 80gb hdd = 80gb partition, u'll have to delete this then create for instance 2 40gb partitions.

Now if you have data on it and don't want to destroy it then i can only think of partition magic not sure if it does external hdd's though.

Yes PartitionMagic 7 & 8 do support external drives fine, it just takes a little while longer to load up at first (about 5-10 seconds depending on drive) as it accesses the USB2/Firewire external drive (obviously not as fast as internal access speeds).
