No Hard Drives????

Heres the scenario

4 hard drives (Hitachi 250Gb TK250)

in BIOS of new PC (just built) have set up Raid 5 with 3 of them.
Created Raid driver floppy

started to install Media Edition XP - pressed F6 for Third Party drivers installation.....then S when prompted

floppy disk kicked into life....and XP confirmed that it would install drivers for RAID.

then next message - Xp cannot detect any hard drives set up will be cancelled please hit F3

this is strange....as I see the hard drives in the BIOS...

any ideas?

When you loaded the driver were there more than one listed?

I think there was an option for Nvidia...something or other but all I was looking for was RAID....

You've probably just installed the raid drivers, whereas you need to install the SATA drivers as well. When you do the F6 to install additional drivers, make sure you press S (specify additional device) twice and select both the RAID drivers & SATA drivers.
