And off-topic how many posts do i need to be able to get on the member selling thingy me bobby?

Cheers now just considering which to go for.

How good is the OcUk ram?

And also how much better is the dual core cpu than the single?

bit ot but, I know you said you didnt want to do overclocking but its really quite easy and doesnt have to mean loud noise and loads of extra cooling.

i got my chip up 400mhz from 1.8 to 2.2ghz and slackened the mem timings a touch and the increased cpu temp was 3c difference and at this time of year thats 35c idle, 38c browsing the net and max about 46c in games, enclosed in a slightly larger than normal case with no case fans what so ever, a akasa-33 cooler thats on 45% speed on speedfan at 1750rpm and left on 24/7.

Personally think a lot of people go way way over the top with cooling etc, mine never crashes and is over 10c lower than my previous 754 chip that was in the same case that never crashed.

more ot, the venices are great from my experiance and I hear the x2's are great, even cooler and easily clockable a couple hundred ghz

Yeah the Arctic Freezer will certainly be quieter than stock fan, and will cool better too.

You need 250 posts to get into members market.

Well, both RAM kits are Value tagged, I doubt there's a massive difference between the two. I think GeIL is more expensive for the brand name and fancy packaging.

I would choose dual core over single core. Sooner or later games will start taking advantage of dual core cpus, so it makes sense to get it now. It will also give you multi tasking benefits.

How much diffrence do you think it will make from a 2.66ghz celeron (the rubish 1's) ?

And do you think if i upgraded the case to a 480w psu it would be better while i have the money or is it fine how it is even if i wanted 2 upgrade in the future?

lol, major difference compared to the celeron.

overclocking guide:

better to read it a few times before you start.

The antec case + 400w psu will be fine, but if you want to upgrade it then that's your choice. Sonato II?

to be honest mate, if you're going to try and build this yourself and are unsure how i'd recommend like Explicit said to get a pre built OCUK one, they have decent specs.

Its not hard making one its just tricky if there is a problem and you're not familiar with it.

Good because this takes around 2 mins to boot up and get on to msn which is 222 long imo and is that just to oc the CPU? How far do you think i could get the 2x3800+ to go maybe x2 4000 or higher with that cooler u suggested?
