hi am i right in thinking sli is nvidia? if so what is the ATI equivalent? i am looking to buy the Asus A8R-MVP and see it has 2 pci-e slots, will i be able to run 2 ati cards?

Nvidia sli X16 will be better than crossfire IMO as i have the asus A8N32 and with the 7900s coming out it wont take long for this baord to have a performance increase over standard sli

I don't understand that :confused: Of course with 7900's SLi'd it will be better than 7800's SLi'd. But i don't see how that on it's own makes SLi better than crossfire.

Nvidia should have the lead over xfire, as they had a head start... but before we start counting chickens - check some reviews where crossfire is done on the RD580. Thats meant to give xfire a decent boost.
