Im looking to get rid of my NAD CD player, replacing it with a media centre pc, can anyone recommend the best make of CD/DVD RW for sound reproduction / quality?

dont quote me on this but Im not sure if CD/DVD drives made for computers have music quality in mind.. I would just say pick a recommended one, as I feel sound quality is down to personal taste (If it sounds good to you then that's the best one for you). I have a NEC in my main PC hooked up to a ONKYO AV which sounds good for me
