im thinking of upgrading too

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (Socket 939) - OEM
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940)
Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Black UV

Thats a great choice of parts, the tax man must like you :) ,

The hyper is a great psu, I have the 480w in one of my pc's and its as stable as, so the 580 should do you great. If your sure on getting the ati card, would it not be better getting a crossfire board, just in case you want to down that route, or get an nvidia card for the asus mobo.

But if your not bothered about that, then you have chosen wisely :D

You might want to sell your current 2gbs of RAM & buy the GEIL 2gb kit- Otherwise you will be limited to 2t command rate.
You should get enough from the sale to fund that, maybe even a little profit judging by what my Crucial value is going for

I dont think the tax understand love ;)

I was originally going to buy one of those new GF7900 cards but then ocuk offered the 1900xt cards at that wonderful price point, so i switched the cards round. Are the crossfire boards anygood?

I'm not getting this 2T command rate stuff, according to the post screen my 2 x 1GB pc3200 Mushkin runs at 2T Dual channel. The machine is overclocked is this why? The memory is on a 133 divider due to the overclock. I keep seeing mention that 2T suffers a performance hit.

X2 3800+ is a great value CPU & with the Arctic Cooling Freezer should get a nice overclock.
Yep cant get better for that money than the ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB.
Hiper PSU should be fine.
As for mobo perhaps get this, since new bios it goes very well ..Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire [Available This Week Only for just £104.95 +VAT]

Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU - Black UV
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2

constructive thoughts and opinions welcome, i'd like to order this over the next day or so.
