Hi all,

I just got myself a new 4200 x2 with an asrock 939dual sataII and 2gig of mushkin extreme ram and a new 300gig seagate sataII drive and I am having a few problems.

Everything installed ok and was detected fine. Got the sataII drive working and installed a fresh copy of winXP professional.

I also have two sataI drives connected.

In windows all my hard disks are detected as SCSI drives and in particular my new SATAII driver has the "safely remove hareware" icon in the system tray.
Is this normal as it all seems a little slow?

I have lots of data on my other sataI drives which I want, however everytime I try and copy or open certain files/folders I Windows tells me that I do not have correct permissions or privledges to do this.

I can't boot from the sataI driver either as I get a BSOD to try and change the permissions. Is there anything I can do from my new install to sort this?

Thanks,

Rob.
