Help me with a mates PC.
He's got a Maxtor SATA II Drive don't know the size. I've been round tonight to try and sort out the problem.
Symptoms etc:
PC working fine last night and turned off, not working this morning.
Tried to go into safe mode - not available.
Drive show up in Bios.
When booting things flash past quickly reporting errors then I get a screen saying press F10 to restore.
Pressed F10 it boots into windows with a dos box saying pagefile.ini missing and starts to count up but fails at 28% each time.
This promts a reboot and it starts all over again.
Any ideas cos they have important data they need on the HDD, I could download a boot disk but then they would loose their data.
Am I missing something, would I be able to connect it to my PC and recover the data?
