Hi, i don't know if anyone would be able to help me but by problem is:
I'm trying to run an ssh server on my linux box, this runs through port 22 and is generally fairly easy to set up. I know its working because i can connect to it via PuTTY from another computer on the same network.
However i would like to be able to connect to it from outside my home network. I have a DNS set up for my home IP and i can connect to my router from anywhere else. I have forwarded port 22 , which ssh uses, both UDP and TCP to the IP address of my linux box. but when i try and connect to it via the internet it comming up with connection refused. this is a general problem as i have tried to set up an FTP server with no luck, and it seems to be the same problem
Can any one help?
Thanks
