some say 1000fsb others say 2000FSB??

Might be buying a new NF4 board but I'm confused as to why some say 1000fsb and others say 2000fsb, whats the difference?
On a different subject: I currently have an A8N5X and I can't get it passed 260fsb, is there a board that would definately do 275+ FSB?

The HT Bus is worked out at standard by (200mhz x 5) x 2, so in theory you have to keep it under 1000 so when the comp multpiles it by 2 the end number is under 2000.

Edit: Have you dropped your LDT multi with that 260 overclock, if you have and the board is definatly limiting you then the DFI Ultra-D is going to be your best bet for trying to breach 300+.

Its a double date rate bus (DDR) so some boards are simply showing the freq before or after the doubling

And its HTT, hypertransport bus, not frontside bus

The HTT bus is either 600, 800 or 1000Mhz depending on how new the motherboard is and which chipset is used.

1000Mhz is common these days however it is bi directional so is often quoted as 2000Mhz. In effect you can send data in opposite directions at the same time thus doubling capacity.
