Netgear Wireless Connections ( problem ? )

Hi all,

I've got my Netgear rangemax wireless modem router (dg834pn 108mbps), and on my desktop a Netgear rangemax wireless pci card (wpn311 108mbps). I'm using a 2mb connection through Plusnet.

Now on my pc the netgear wireless assistant shows the connection as being between 48mbps & 54mbps (thought it should be 108mbps), whereas the wireless network connection status states that the connection as being 108mbps.

1) is this correct? 2) if not how do i change any settings to get a faster connection?

ps i'm on the first floor of the house no more than 15ft away from the router, of which it's on the ground floor on a high shelf if that helps.

Why do you want it to go faster anyway? You only have 2mb broadband......

Sorry i think that came across the way, i want to know if the connection between my router and pc is about correct, as like i mentioned one thing says it's 108mbps connection the other says it's 48-54mbps
