LMAO!!
Easter is called easter because jesus was resurrected! Or am i wrong?
How does the word easter relate to Jesus? The easter holiday was around before christianity (it was a norse thing, named after one of their gods i think), but when they became christian they wanted to keep celebrating it so they linked it to Jesus' death so they had an excuse to keep it. Quite ironic, the most important christian holiday (apparently more important than christmas to highly religious people) is named after a pagan god.

That was a prank.

But memorial day, is where we remember the death of jesus.

I might go, I mean I can barely remember what happened last weekend let alone care I mean remember what happened 2000 years ago.

Twas more Germanic than norse afaik, but yeh that's pretty much it, its named after the "dawn godess" whose festival was/(maybe is?) celebrated at vernal equinox. They also did this with Christmas, which was winter equinox iirc, was done by/for Emperor Constantine.
