Budget of £900 (no higher please)

Mainly a gaming machine. I play pretty much every new release in 1280x1024. 2gb is a must and future proofing would be a bonus. I need only the tower as I have a monitor, software, cd/dvd and various peripherals already. I also already have an audigy 2 plat. so wont be needing a sound card. I'd like to shoot for 300gb disk space too but I'm probably asking too much now!

Items I need;

Case
PSU(?)
Motherboard
CPU
CPU Cooler(?)
Memory
Hard Drive
Graphics Card
(did I miss anything?)

Items that are in stock too please, hoping to get this ordered asap!

Solid Reliable spec, went for the black lian li although personally I prefer the silver. If you fancy silver ou can get a DVD bezel to match.

Retail HSF is fine, I run my 3800 at 2.2ghz on retail no problems.

Given your £30 under budget you can however consider using an arctic cooler 64 HSF ( and going for the currently out of stock OEM 3800+)or adding 120mm Amber fans.

Should get plenty of life out of this spec and in fact it's exactly my system when I take delivery of my new ( Lian Li ) case.

that looks real good dom, might try and fiddle some more hd space out of the 30 spare tho!
Can do of course, didn't forget you wanted 300gig, just went for my favour'd disk as close to 300 as they do. I actually use a 430W Tagan not the 530W.. went for the 530W because I was trying to get a X1900XT into spec ( failed by £34.)

You could always spend that £30 on a cooler, the stock cooler is fine but you might want something quieter with better performance leaving headroom should be doing any clocking. Scythe Ninja, Thermaltake big typhoon, the thermalright XP-120 and the arctic cooling freezer 64 pro are all good choices.

very nice spec there bigdom that will run sweet :D

Thankyou, just moved my rig into a Silver PC-7 and looks great :).

Haven't checked temps in the new case but is noticeably quieter than my old case which had a 80mm amber and 120mm generic in. This one has two 120mm ambers ( I replaced the default 120mm straight off ).
