I'm a fan of the Akasa amber fans but they don't have LED
The Akasa fans with LEDs are noisy, as are the Thermaltake Thunderblades...

Anyome know of any quiet 120mm fans with LEDs ? I can't seem to find any on OCUK

Hi there,

I'm using 3 SilenX blue LED fans with my case:
2 x 80mm fans as intakes at front and 1 x 120mm exhaust at the back

They're connected to a fan controller with the 80mm fans turned to 50% (at full speed they emit a mild whooshing sound) and the 120mm running at full speed (pretty quiet).

The 14bB figure quoted by SilenX could be an exaggeration though.

Motherboard temperature according to Asus PC Probe II is currently 38 degs although the heating in the room is turned on and I have a Zalman VF900 cooler fitted to my graphics card.

Thanks guys. Another idea has just come out of this actually - I could always just buy a fan controller and use with the existing fan to regulate it's speed as necessary :)

The aerocools are quieter ;)

There was a roundup of 17 120mm fans, the aerocools were only barely louder than Nexus fans which are regarded by most as the best quiet fans (Silent PC Review for example) and pushed about the same amount of air.

P.S sorry for all the "[Sic]"s, just that it is easier to read if you take your time writing the post.
