Hi, i currently have 1 GB RAM (2 x 256 and 1 x 512) and i want to upgrade to 2GB.

I have an MSI Neo Platinum mobo, athlon 64 3200+ raddeon 9550 graphics card, 200GB hdd.

I prefer high spec components, but it does not have to be overclockable.

any suggestions?

well, i want to try sell my RAM, which i might get £40 for. So perhaps 150? maybe less if there is anything less than that.

GSkill ZX 2x1Gb kit is probably the best for you, it has great timings and is an excellent price :)

Doubt it very much...difference is negligible (maybe a couple of FPS in games, but nothing you'd notice). Go for branded value stuff and save a few quid.

What are you overclocking for?

If its gaming your graphics card would be a bottleneck far before the ram. If its video editing then its a toss up whether extra ram or a dual core is a more worthy upgrade.

For general usage you won't see much of a difference in going from 1 to 2 gig.
