hey all, Currently running xp home and want to use linux either on this PC or build a cheap one and run it on that. What software do i need can i download an OS or is it better to buy. What OS do i need i will be mainly browsing the Internet and other apps. Any help would be great.Thanks

http://www.ubuntu.com/ is a nice easy to use Linux Distro based on Debian.
I would probably recommend putting it on a spare machine at first so you don't mess up your main pc.
