Hey, I've currently got a 120GB Western Digital 1200 IDE harddrive.
I've recently swapped my system over into a Lian-Li PC-007 and although the sound and temperature dropped dramatically compared to my old case, I've begun to notice a very irratable high-pitched whining. I've unplugged the fans etc, to makesure it wasn't them, and my conclusion is that the noise is coming from my harddrive. It isn't resinating off my case.
Is there anyway for me to either silence the harddrive or stop the whining all together? I think it's the motor on my hdd, but the sound created is almost echoing around my case and being made louder because of it.
