Avast AntiVirus Software

Hi all,

Has anyone got any knowledge or experience of Avast Anti-Virus software?

I haven't heard of it personally, and just wondered if anyone had anything good or bad to say about it, or could recommend suitable alternatives?

This is Anti Virus software that would be used in a small business environment, and I believe it competes with offerings from Symantec, McAfee, and Sophos etc.

Any input appreciated.

Switched to this earlier in the year and am Totally happy with it.
I manually update religously so control the AV myself.
Small resource usage, sweet interface and all for free.
I am happy to recommend it.

i too upgraded when i got windows xp 64, and have to say it is very good, blocks all rubbish and keep my computer happy

its brilliant, used it for a long time since AVG failed on me spectacularly.

ive had it for awhile now, been working a treat and is up to date all the time.
