Hi Chaps,

As some of you may recall from my previous thread on the motors section, I'm currently looking at buying a second hand focus however I've stumbled across a questions that I'm hoping someone has the answer for.

My preference is for a 1.6 with a zetec trim however I'll happily consider an LX as long as it has the alloy wheel optional extras (reason being, my insurance company wont let me change the wheels!)

Question is, are the factory upgrade wheels counted as something you would need to inform the insurance company about or would it been fine to just say "its a 1.6 LX"?

Cheers

As far as I'm aware the question they ask is "Has the vehicle been modified beyond the specification/trim level after it left the factory"

So as long as thats the way it was specified when it left the factory, you can just say it's a 1.6LX. I'd definately try and find a Zetec though.

Thats what I beleived too, cheers!

The LX has AC as standard but the Zetec has the nice wheels and the sportyer suspension (and fogs iirc?) I'd definately prefer the zetec.
