im thinking of putting a saxo vts engine in my dead 205,
has anyone ever seen this or attempted this??
the engine blocks are both of the tu series so should be alright using the same engine mounts. im aware that ill have to take the entire wiring loom from a saxo. the bit im worried about is the fuel pump, the 205 engine has a mechanical one but the saxo uses an electronic one in the fuel tank, how easy will this be to change??

i know it would be cheeper to put a 1.9gti engine in but i want sumat different.

any help, comments, warnings appreciated.

the current engine is the 1.4 tu so will the lower mount be in the same place ;)

will the gti pump provide enough fuel for the saxo engine??

another thing, the gti had bigger wish bones with a roll bar situated up high linked to the struts, will the bigger power need bigger wish bones??
where exactly does a gti roll bar go?

More than enough. You'll need the Saxo regulator I expect (on the fuel rail if it's like a 205 system) and high pressure fuel lines to match. Rob it all off a 205 GTI but make sure the tank HAS a pump in at as they are not bloody cheap.
