im planning out a new pc and would realy like to try 2x raptor 150gb drives using raid 0, my concern is backing up the data on those drives.

is it possible to use a single high capacity hdd to backup the 2 drives? so that if one raptor fails, i could just copy the data from backup drive to raptor and run it as a non raided drive? or will i have to use 2 drives to backup, one for each raptor?

You'd back up both raptor drives. the OS treats a raid 0 as one drive so if one drive fails you will need to replace it or swap them both for a dirve that is 300GB or more.
