ok Im using this for my pc and generally I like it very much but obviously im stuck to 1360x768 via VGA.

any suggestions of what to replace it with to get higher res but good size screen?

What is the equvilant res on a TFT to 1360X768(1280x960)?

Does a bigger screen put more strain on a card to fill the screen compared to a smaller screen or does the size make no difference?
thankyou very much

The biggest, highest res screen is the 30" model from Dell or Apple. Next biggest are a set of 24", of which the Dell 2405 is most popular. The Dell 2407 is coming out soon.

Below that is the 20" market. There are many wonderful options here, search would be your friend if you choose that route.

Some resolutions that are standard for lcd computer monitors
Widescreen
30" 2560*1600 4 096 000 pixels
24" 1920*1200 2 304 000 pixels
20" 1650*1080 1 782 000 pixels

4/3
20" 1600*1200 1 920 000 pixels
19/17" 1280*1024 1 310 720 pixels

The number of pixels gives you an idea of how much your graphics card would be strained. On some lcd monitors you can run alternate resolutions that are just scaled down. For instance, instead of running 1920*1200 you run 1280*720, the number of pixels you have to draw drops from 2.3 mill to .9 mil. But of course it will look much better if you can run 1920*1200.

Hopefully that helps, I can't really suggest because I do not know your uses, needs, wants, budget, etc...
