What does everyone think a maximum safe voltage is to run my ram at?

it is 1gb Geil ultra pc4000 and is currently running at 230mhz at 1T timing...

what does this ram run at as standard and what should i push it to?

cheers

This is probably TCCD iirc, whats are its standard timings?

The RAM should be good for 250Mhz minimum (as its PC4000), if its TCCD you should be aiming for around 270-285 at 2.5-3-3-7, that should only need 2.7-2.9V (TCCD is a bit variable on what voltage is best, some do better with as little as 2.7V).

How do you know what chips your ram uses? do you guess or is there something that tells you?

The only way to know for sure is to pop the heatsinks off, but I know Geil used a lot of TCCD over the last year, and thats the most likely candidate for you modules. If they can do 2.5-3-3-7 at 260+ mhz then it'll have to be TCCD, they're the only chips that are good for that (and TCC5 if you're being picky).

i think the ram timings as standard are 2-4-4-7...

shall i drop the cas to 2.5 and what would be considered as a slack timing?

also will i be able to run it at 1T timing with those speeds?

cheers
