just got my g5 and love it,

prefer it to the mx518 i had, even if it is just for the added weight and the ability to change the weights lol.

Its a quality mouse, also it feels better the paint is rough on it but nice n grippy plus the mouse cable is braided lol looks mental.

I LOVE IT!!!

1600>2000 isn't going to make you any better at games, & I doubt it'd make a huge diff. in other possible precision areas.

The low resistance cord is a gimmick.

The G5's metal style top doesn't feel that great.

If you're gaming the weights will just add more variables to mess with your head.

If you're gaming the extra thumb button on the mx518 makes a lot of diff (to me anyway).

Edit: also the special gaming teflon feet on the G5 (which it claims abolishes the need for mouse skates) are still not as smooth as an mx518+hyperglides.

MX518 FOR THE WIN! :D

do the new logitech mice have the same number of buttons as the older mx500?

2 ontop, rollerball, 2 on the side?

as mines on the way out but not sure if the new logitech still have the 2 side buttons.
