Can anyone recommend me a PCI-E gfx card for up to £150, it seems theres a lot of decent cards for around this price which makes it hard to choose. The card needs to be able to play bf2 and all the latest games and support pixel shader 3.

Some of the cards ive seen include:

GeForce 6800 GT
BFG GeForce 7600 GT OC 256MB GDDR3
ATI Radeon X850 XT 256MB GDDR3

I dont know if the budget 7000 series out do the 6800's. Any help would be nice.

In the budget of £150, the best card is definitely the 7600GT. It can be found for as low as £117 and it performs between the 6800 Ultra and 7800GT.

Well, considering that 7900GTs can be had for as little as £198 atm, if you're willing to wait for a little while/shop around and buy secondhand, you could well get a very very nice card for a very very nice price ;)

I know someone that got their 7900GT for £130 secondhand, but that was a fairly one-off deal afaik.

Does the 7600GT really perform better than a 6800ultra? That sounds kind of crazy.. *looks on google/etc*

Go for the 7600GT

Stonking card - nVidia have really got the mid-range market sorted (the 6600GT last time was another great card)

As said, it performs a little better than a 6800Ultra

The X850 doesn't support SM3 and it's previous gen so I wouldn't get it
