As Nikebee says, things change over time.
However, I do think it was a rather silly move on Sony's part to state that it would have those features before they ever had anything like final hardware.
I suspect their PR department had a lot to do with them publishing specifications that early in the game, so that they could look good at the time.
Unfortunately these days it seems most companies like to hype up their technical specs on hardware, even when those specifications are still under review and subject to major changes (something that is likely to annoy people who had got excited over those specs).
I guess what i'm saying is, never beleive early specifications for anything as there are so many factors that can cause them to change (costs, manufacturing problems, pesky patent infringment cases).
