This has been bugging me for ages now, well since I added wireless to my LAN.
I have set up my family a network consisting of:
a: 1 PC wired ethernet --- 350Kb/s
b: 1 PC wired ethernet --- 600Kb/s
c: 1 laptop with wireless card --- 600Kb/s
d: 1 PC with pci wireless --- 350Kb/s
e: 1 PC with usb wireless --- 600Kb/s (when it stays connected)
My problem being "a" and "d" the two pcs with slow dl speeds.
The only thing they seem to have in common is that they are the oldest installs, predating the wireless expansion.
Is there any chance of freeing them up without having to reinstall them? Maybe something in the registry?
Any hints or insights would be greatly appreciated as I've not gotten very far trawling either google or MS knowledge base.
