hi guys,
I have recently bought and DFI expert edition board (latest one)
I have an 3200+ venice which is clocked to 2.7 at the mo (9x300)
I need some ram that will at least goto 270 mhz so I can run 1:1 ration to get 2.7 again, my budget is approx £150-160,
can u guys help me out ?

Also my friend has the same board and is running 2x1gb
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX
How far can this be pushed on the above mentioned board

Cheers guys.

Hi defcon5,
I was under the illusion that 1:1 is better alround no?

For my rig preferably 1:1 although i don't mid running a divider if i must.

It will be much the same situation with my mates rig but he will be using Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (what do these top out at on the dfi expert?)

Cheers

i wouldnt imagine a 2gb 200mhz kit will do above 230mhz at decent timings.
To get 270mhz you would need DDR550 (pc4400) or a good DDR500 set.

The performance loss from the lower speed will be more than made up for by the lower latencies you will be able to use
