I've been thinking about fitting a Zalman CPU cooler to my PC to replace the crappy stock cooler and just generally tart up the inside of it.
I notice that the models CNPS9500-LED and CPNS770-Cu are compatable with LGA775 motherboards so I have a few questions.
Do you think either of the above would fit would with my Dell Dimension 9150, which has a socket LGA775 motherboard?
I know what Dell are like for changing things so I thought it best to ask around before ordering.
I would ask Dell but then they would only say I should be using a replacement OEM fan, which is noisey and not really the best at cooling, hence the main reason why I would like a Zalman instead
I've also been on the Dell forums but as helpful as they are about most things, they dont take too kindly to questions on how to mod things.
I have attached a few pics of the inside of my case to gauge space and what not. The one of the CPU with the heatsink removed should be rotated 180 degrees so it's as you would see it looking directly into the case, same as the others. See links below:

The little silver capacitor type things around the CPU dont stick out any further than the CPU so I think I'll be good for space there.
Also, I think the 120mm intake fan may have to be respositioned futher toward the grill but that's not a problem (Dremel and hot glue!), I'm more concerned if the mounts will fit to the motherboard as they are, or if they'll have to be customised like this guy did here in his Dimension 8400?

His looks like a ATX motherboard, where as mine is BTX. I think I should get enough clearance from the PSU though. It's the orientation of the new fan that would worry me.
Also, in a few days the stock PSU will be repalced by a HiperPower 580W Modualr so the cables should be a lot tidier and the airflow a bit better, not that temps have been an issue. I've been taking bits in and out recently so I haven't bothered to rearrange it everytime... hence the mess.
I know modding Dell's sucks but I'm stuck with it so I may as well see what I can do to make it better. I know there's other ways to improve cooling and reduce noise but I want a Zalman or similar.
Any advice would be most appreciated....
