New Video Card Choices - Help Needed

Started Playing fear on the below specs, and get decent performance out of 1024x768 with high details but no FSAA/AF and softshadows just destroys my video card, lol! My card is a vanilla 6600, not a GT variant and has sh***y RAM.

So I'm tempted in one of three directions:

1) 7600GT
2) X1800 GTO

or..

3) X800 GTO and see if I can mod it to 16 pipes.

How likely is it to get a card to flash/softmod to 16 pipes? Which manufacturers let there cards be flashed ?

A local retailer has X800 GTO cards cheaper than the above two so I might go this direction if it can be done reliably. My max budget is going to be around the £140 mark....

X800GTO2 & X800GTO16 are no longer sold here, so its a gamble if any of the other X800GTO cards will unlock, its possible, but a gmable.

At the price i would get the PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 GTO 256MB

At the price i would get the 7600 GT and overclock it.
