It NEEDS to:

Have a native resolution of 1280x720 ( or 1920x1080  )
Be larger than 26"
Have a DVI/HDMI input and a VGA/YPbPr input.
Cost less than £700 (£800 at a stretch)

So far I have recieved both a DIBOSS LT-27KLF (which turned out to be 1280x768) and a Videoseven LTV27CH (had been 'upgraded' to 1366x768). Both are being returned but right now I'm a grand short while I wait for refunds :(

I am now looking at at Toshiba 27WLT56 but now since the price has jumped up £100 I want to buy the best I can, and the one review I could find for this model was less than inspiring.

The main use at first will be Xbox360, but I will be planning to keep it for for long into the future for full HD TV, so HDCP would be nice too.

I've spent a week trying to find the TV I want, but to no avail, so now I turn to you guys :D

any decent LCD TV is gonna have a resolution of 1366x768.

As for your budget, youd probably get a 26" from most manufacturers for that sorta money from an online store. Samsung do a budget 27" too.

As above, the majority of LCD tvs will have 1366 x 768 . If your worried about pc usage then get a tv with true 1:1 pixel mapping to avoid the very very slight problem tv's without suffering.

As for LCD tvs in general, for the quality around £800 you can't beat the LG 32LX2R for around 805-820 online. Which supports HDCP over both it's DVI and HDMI connections. Has component as well for your 360, 1 scart and 1 RGB Scart for your other devices.

I'm going to get the Toshiba 27WL56 (no digital tuner, but Active Vision LCD instead)

Just over £600 and apparantly VERY good. Whereas the 27WLT56 is just average.
