Battlefield 1942

Just dug this out of a box in the garage, is it still popular or does knowone play it anymore due to BF2?

i may get the patches and have a play!

ive read a lot of people have migrated across to BF2 now, although there are servers still running, finding a decent one is the problem

Although a lot of ppl moved over from 42 to play BF2 they have actually started to move back to 42 due to the bad patches released by EA , so theres more ppl playing BF1942 now than they was a few months ago

I would love to start playing BF1942 again but it just won't work for me

I install the game plus expansions and Desert Combat and patch it with the last released patch for BF1942 and DC but when i try to join a game i'm told i have the wrong version!

I've spent hours trying to get this to work and trawlin the interweb for help

I want to install it but i cant be bothered with all the patches etc! do they auto download i cant remember? or do i have to google them

If you are on Xfire they should auto download, just leave it running as its not very high speed

I tried to install this today but it died at 98%.

Noticed that the 2nd disc had a crack through to the middle!

I'll have to try and acquire it from somewhere!
