In the Daily Mail today I read that the egg came before the chicken after scientists carried out a long study, I thought everyone already knew that the egg came first anyway, I've known for ages so didn't anyone think to tell the scientists?

It's obvious to me that the egg comes before the chicken because the creature that laid it is now the old version hence not really being a chicken at all.
