Lovely pictures. First one is the best as in the others bits of the bird are missed of due to the table. Lovely bokeh.

that tells me is what length and stop hes at, it doesnt say which lens it is ;)

i`m impressed with the detail in some of the shots posted here lately :)

The first image is the pic for me, the creamy background, colours and composition are perfect.


The lens looks a bit soft though, send it to me and i'll test it for you ;) :p

Not often but a light crack round the head with it often sends them packing.. :D


Seriously though this lens is for the long stuff at airshows or motor sport events where there is plenty of long lenses about so it doesnt look out of place then.. :)

Yup, it's not really a walk about lens :D

I was hand holding this lens with a 1.4x extender fitted to a 1D MKII on Friday and after 40 mins my arms were dead. Yet I manage fine with the 100-400. The extra 1KG or so really makes a difference.

Did you get to put your own CF card in and keep the pictures you took SDK^

Also after the test would you buy one.???? :)
