Heya,

I dont tend to update to the lastest drivers much.

Recently have, and found it a right load of work - uninstalling, and reinstalling.

I have custom desktop colour and full screen settings, these are lost when upgrading drives in the way i have described.

Is there an easy way to upgrade drivers? like say the windows update tool but for ATI? or third party progs like this?

Im having to take screen shots of my settings and then reenter them.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forums. :)

You could just write them down, thats all i did for my 3D settings, all i do to update the drivers is, Add/Remove, delete the drivers, do not reboot, delete the Control Panel or CCC (whichever im using), don't reboot, then i run the ATi Uninstaller, don't reboot, then i just delete the ATi Folder, reboot, when it says found new hardware, i just cancel those, and install the latest drivers, works fine for me. :)

Lol thanks, sounds like you have as much fun as i did!

I find it hard to believe ATI wont consider an auto updater, or one has already been created somewhere.
