guys im not sure what to do now.

i will get the PC4200 CAS4 stuff but the question is as i have a stick of 512mb should i get just a 512mb stick so they are matching?

i mean should the setup be right for dual channel or should i just stick as much as i can in (i.e a 1gb stick)

the alternative is that i can stay as i am save a bit longer and chuck a 2GB (2x1GB) setup in.. then sell the existing 512mb

i know im not explaining well but i think youll know what i mean.. any suggestions?

sorry forgot to add that the machine has a 512MB pc4200 DDR stick in at the moment..

so the question is:

should i try and match this stuff with a 512MB DDR stick from crucial, just get a 1GB stick of similar rating or just wait and get a 2x 1GB set from crucial in the hope of having a better dual channel setup?

All the reviews I have seen show a marked improvement in performance if you have a matched pair of sticks.

I would save up and get 2x1gb sticks which can be had for (DDR2-667) £150 inc if you look around. Or order from the US for about £130 (inc ship and duty!)
