Gonna be my first car perhaps its done 91k miles and its a 1998 this is what the seller says

last two owners in same family mother and daughter car done 91500 miles odd stone chip small paint bubble on cill no rott just spent £200 on service rear bearing and brake shoes drives very well

and his price is a 1200 what do you reckon?

Run! I'd be worth about 8-900, please don't buy a 1.0 car as well i've regretted it, if you can stretch to more money 6 months down the line you will be glad.

It can be either a 1.1 or a 1.2 on an R reg.

What do you reckon i should offer him i cant realy find any other decent cars. dodgy colours or 1.8 golf's trying to find a 1.4 or 1.9 td 306 also.

If you have to have a little car, Peugeot 106, 1.1 or 1.4 petrols seem abundant in your price range.

Sounds about right to me.

You could sell a dog turd for any price you like if it had a VW badge on it. People buy the badge not the car with VW's.

I wouldn’t go for that myself i think you could do abit better and if you do go for something else i think you would be happier maybe try a fiesta or 106 there nice first cars and you can get some real bargains. Remember avoid any second hand car with cluster lights

unless its a Lexus
