Well you are limited to AGP graphics cards here, anything would be a step up from the Radeon 9000 though. Maybe try looking for an X800pro or 6800gt secondhand as that would be a fairly inexpensive(<£100) upgrade but it would be a huge improvement.

Socket 478 isn't used by Intel any more, they have gone to socket 775, you might be able to find a faster socket 478 CPU secondhand or maybe overclock that one.

As for Ram the motherboard uses ordinary DDR so getting yourself up to 2gb would be about as far as you could go there but it only has 3 slots. Specifications on the first review site I found.

Intel chips are now on s775.

If it was me i would upgrade the graphics card only.
Overclock the CPU as much as possible & leave it at that.
A card like the one below will be a BIG improvement over your current one & should be well matched to the rest of your sytem. Then do a full upgrade when this no longer plays well.

Card i would get...PowerColor ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-050-PC)
Price: £99.95 (£117.44 Including VAT at 17.5%)
