Will Asus A8V Dlx support DDR2 Mem?

Hi guys

Simple question really. Curious to know as I plan to upgrade to a PCI-Express SLI mobo later in the year but would like to upgrade the memory now to give an interim boost to my machine. Currently running 1x512mb and 2x256mb of Corsair XMS 3500 but would like to upgrade to at least 2GB of memory.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful. Current CPU is an Athlon 64 3500+ so no immediate plans to upgrade that as yet.

Hi mate

No it wont take DDR2. As far as im aware, all socket 939 boards are DDR only.

yes they are, but i think the asrock dual can take a addon board thet will have am2 and ddr2 slots

Yes it does, but you cannot use a 939 processor and DDR2 RAM. It's either use a 939 CPU and DDR or an AM2 CPU and DDR2 RAM, you can't mix and match.
