Hi All

I know CAT 5e will support gigabit (well i read so in the faq lol), but does it work at full speed?

We have cat 5e cabling at the moment. We are upgrading our network machines and servers to 1gigabit.

Do you think we should bother upgrading, which will cost a fair bit or will cat5e work just as well?

Thanks
Aaron

Cat5e will be fine for gigabit, you only need cat6 for 10Gb
