"At what age can cats reproduce?

Generally, cats reach puberty between six and 12 months of age, although this can fluctuate depending on certain factors such as breed, climate and nutrition."

As I recall, ours was spayed at about 6 months. She never even got to being in heat for the first time, which was a mercy. The shelter we got our cat from insisted that we not let her outside until she was spayed. We took her out in the garden on a lead, but that was it. She wasn't allowed out on her own till she'd been done.

She had a square shaved into her side for ages after the op, looked right silly.

PS Kittens are awesome. Enjoy.

They can be done from 6 months. We got a femal rescue cat who was a year old and hadn't been done and popped her into the vet to be sorted. Whilst on heat she was rubbing herself on everything and bloody noisy :D

When she came back she did look very sorry for herself and kept bumping into things wearing her cone

Here is some evidence

Some cats can be done from the age of 3 months, although it depends on the vet. You should have warning if she is going into heat though, and spaying can be done while they are in heat, it's just more complicated and more expensive.
