Replacing a motherboard in a friends Emachine 410 (!)

It has a 2.40 ghz celeron in it...

anybody care to recommend a cheap replacement ? (shes gave me £50) to spend but can get more....
(present : agp Radeon 9200 - 512 ddr memory - onboard sound...)

so its nothing flash :)

Havent had Intel for ages so your thoughts are appreciated :)

stick an ASUS P4DV800D-X in it, you can get em for under £30 if you shop around & there AGP and PCI-E on the same mobo, so at a later date she can stick a PCI-E gfx card in if she can't find an agp card.

Id stick with the Mobo she has and get a cheap Pentium instead!

Even if the Mobo is broken, it will still be quicker! LOL

I wouldnt waste up to £50 for a Celeron based PC mate... I would consider getting a cheap-o Pentium and Mobo as its going to be an improvement over the Celeron.
