I'm not really sure what mode I should be running my Tagan 530W PSU in... split or combined rail. Not even sure what the difference is :( Anyone fancy giving me a quick primer / suggesting which is best?

System:
X2 3800+
Single ATI X1800GTO
250Gb WD HDD
2GB G-Skillz Ram
2 Akasa 120mm Fans

I'd probably set it to combined rail but the Tagan is supposed to combine the rails anyway if one is taking too much power on its own. I doubt it will matter much for your system although it tends to become more important for dual graphics card set-ups.

it shouldn't make a difference unless you're using an sli/crossfire system but a single rail is generally better on intels whilst duals are better for amd iirc, although for what you're running you shouldn't be concerned about it.
