I've just got my TV tuner (Leadtek DVT2000H) set up in Media Center, but the video is very choppy i.e. very brief pauses every second or so. What could the cause of this be?

My PC spec is:
Shuttle SS56Gv3
3.4Ghz Prescott
Asus Nvidia 5900 graphics card
1Gb Corsair RAM
Leadtek DVT2000H

or is it because the broadcasting quality in my region is plain crap

The signal strength would usually affect the picture quality , either it will work or won't in my experience.

Choppy / stuttering picture sounds like your system struggling , but , your spec looks more than powerful enough to rule this out.

I get occasional very slight stuttering if I have my DVB TV in one screen and using the internet on the other screen.

Check to see what other programs are running " underneath " ( Ctrl / Alt / Del ) in windows when you are watching.

Cheers,

Mark
