How about charity work?

I do some and it is a right blast, its free to do and there should be a whole load of opertunities for you to do things.

I may be going to a foreign country with my work so its all good!

I used to skate, which is pretty fun if you can find some people to do it with.

If you're into sports, you could take up tennis or swimming since it's the tennis season, and swimming is nice to keep cool.

If not, you could try some kind of martial art. Tae Kwon Do was pretty fun when I did it. :)

How about a musical instrument?

Cue me mentioning magic and sleight of hand as usual :p

Second charity work, very fulfilling, meet a lot of nice people and depending on what you do, developes your character in a positive way usually.

Football is too expensive?

Whilst I hate football and think its rubbish, it certainly isn't expensive.

All you need is:

a) A football
b) Some jumpers
c) Some friends

Job done.

I think he would mean playing for a club or similar, one of my friends used to do that and he used to pay money to the club to play
