Not 100% sure where to find a crossfire X1900XT or XTX card setup any links?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/X1900_Series.html

The top one is a master card and then you can use any other on there as you slave card I would not get the XTX though as the master card is XT ant the XTX card will only run at the XT speed then anyways from what I have made out.

So the top one and any of the other X1900 XT will do. ;)

No Conroe wont fit that Dell not without changing MOBO and I am not sure about that particular setup but I know most Dells use a diffrent wireing for the power supply and you can blow it all by changing parts for standard ATX parts, also there MOBOs are normally not ATX sizes either.

Unlikely that the dell is, but please dont buy the dell. If you are not going to build your own then at least buy one of ocuk's pre built machines
I already said pretty much them same thing near the start of this thread you will get a better machine for a lot less money.

This system is more than good enough, no point overspending if you don't need it. Why are you still speccing a Physics card? Aegia marketing won you over? Also paying a lot for the "fastest" AMD CPU, the 4800 is half the price and only 200mhz slower! Get the 4800 and overclock it.

Look I know Conroe is a great processor and it is something I will upgrade to in the future if possible with my current config just need to change motherboard and processor.

For now I need a system that will suit is the config I picked OK. I assume the Dell XPS700 is not Conroe compaitable?

Well then buy the things that won't be out of date then, EG case, PSU, gfx etc..

Then buy a cheap 3000+ AMD64 + 1gb ram and wait.

OK Information overload. I can't deceide what to do for the best now, So I am going to take your advice and wait for the Conroe processor to be released and then look at either building my own or the pre-build ones offered here, depending on spec, cases offered, etc.

Many, many thanks for all your advice and if has been a real education I feel I have picked up quite abit of knowledge regards building my own, again many thanks.

You do realise the date of the last post before you was 11th Jun 2006. Talk about dragging something from the past up.

lol - I started reading the thread too and read a few posts before I twigged.

I've got an XPS Core2Duo E6300 based PC on order for Oct delivery from Dell. Only cost me £705 due to a web error on their part. I'll even get another 4.5% back from a popular cashback site :)

Nothing like the specs in this thread tho :(
